Said the Night to the Day.–
My praises travel around, 
more than your famous ones. 
–The Day responded
Oh how many times and how many people 
Direct their sorrows to me
And then they leave!–
–The Night continues on
From me with sorrow, oh Day
You leave and come back.
People who are in love
In the center of their wounded hearts
They suffer from my being late
With humble words 
Humble in my Love 
Wherever I am 
Any kind of joy can be found
And vices and drinking are what 
those who suffer from Love experience, many of these people 
During my hours, together they
ask anxiously.
Long is the night
And they detested the return
Of the indiscreet day; 
Because in the hours of the nighttime
Love permits all. 
Now that you have heard my prayers, 
You will still be courageous 
To compare yourself to me 
And first, to even praise yourself 
Oh, wicked day
Are you disdained by all?–
–Then the Day returns: –
Even though I am humiliated,
I will sincerely admit,
Night, you have spoken the truth.

== The Eagle and the Parrot ==
The chatty parrot
One day with a particularly impertinent attitude  
Turned to the Eagle – "Really"–
He said "...."
Which?" the Eagle responded. –
To the other birds the song 
....the Man of creation:
And to me, the greatest gift, 
Of human accent, and/is the fairytale."
Foolish!" the haughty eagle responded–
If all day you are still 
Chattering, about this same nonsense
